Rain or sun, or fog, or clouds or some of each. You'll know a day ahead.
Thanksgiving usually sees good weather, but anything is possible since it's a transitional time of year. If it's raining, you'll want to by-pass the drive up through Big Sur since rock and mud slides are common in wet conditions.
that time of year the central coast can be the warmest place in the country, if the winds are blowing from the east. Excellent chance that there will be no fog, since what fog there is at that time tends to be the Tule fog that forms inland. There are several single lane areas, including the building of a massive bridge along what used to be a persistent landslide south of Lucia. They will probably be working here another year. Expect to spend 15 minutes here during the middle of the day. I don;t know whether or not they also work on weekends. But in late November you can just turn off your engine and see who is the first to spot a whale.
thanks kibblesmom and dhauk..
sounds wonderful! considering the warm spell we've been having, hoping it will continue into November also. Cannot wait to take the trip!!
