No Canary.... It's a family joke the amount of time I spend researching our holidays. When you're spending a few grand I think it pays off. I'm not one to lay on the beach or by the pool reading 50 shades of grey, so I need to do a lot of planning.
My brother went to Ronda, Spain once. I asked if he went to the bull ring (where the art of bull fighting was developed) He'd never heard of it.
We met a couple of ladies in Bangkok once. They hardly left to hotel as they didn't know where to go.
I work for myself so have hours to spend on the pewter checking things out.
We spent a month in Oz a couple of years back. I had almost every day planned. Drove the missus mad, so I did deviate from the plan a couple of times.
We went to Florida once. Met a family who did hardly any research and weren't even sure where they were.
They spent a lot of time wondering what to do.
having said that.... One man's fish is another man's poisson.
Currently planning a three day break in Ilfracombe, Devon.
If you look at my trip reports you'll see how sad I am.
BTW all trips have to fit round Aston Villa home games, and the (very) occasional gig that the 60s covers band I'm in inflict on the public.
