Dingle vs Clonakillty

We are driving from Gallway south to either Dingle or Clonakilty, then up to Dublin.

Can anyone advise which of these 2 towns is better to stay in for 2 nights? Or are we better off spending the day in Dingle then driving off to Clonakillty, or spend 1 night in each town?

Thanks for any advise.

Go to Dingle, stay there and explore that area. Keep Clonakilty in West Cork for another trip. Dingle to Clonakilty is quite a trip especially with your limited time in south west.

Definitely Dingle. Scenery, atmosphere, pubs, restaurants, day trips to Slea Head drive. Dingle!

Definitely Dingle from me too. I was there about a month ago for the first time in ages and wont be leaving it so long again. The drive whole of the Dingle peninsula is beautiful.

We toured all over Ireland and when we got to Dingle my husband said "next time lets just stay here the whole time".

on my first visit to Ireland I stopped off in Killarney on the way to Dingle, I would not do it again. Dingle and the Slea Head drive, the stuff dreams are made of .....
