Have just returned from a week at the hotel and this was our main base (7 nights) on a coach tour from UK to Sorrento Peninsular. We stayed at three hotels on the outward journey and two on the return journey so six hotels in all. Sadly, our excitement at the thought of finally be able to empty our suitcases was short-lived as we must have been allocated one of the smallest rooms in the hotel. Small room with a wardrobe so shallow that your clothes protruded, one shelf at the bottom and that was it. Not a single drawer in the room so my suitcase didn't get emptied. Talking to other members of our party, it became apparent that most rooms are significantly larger and some are palatial so it was just bad luck on our part. We were offered a much larger room at the front but were warned of the excessive traffic noise so declined it. A few days later we were offered another slightly larger room but that would have meant trading our shower for a bath so we decided to put up and shut up. Yes, the dogs barked at unsociable hours but you also have the day time "chorus". The road leading down to the sea is very bendy and vehicles sound their horns to warn other vehicles of their presence. You soon get fed up with the air horns on the coaches. Now for the positives - great location, super view from the upper level rooms at the rear of the hotel, staff very friendly, food okay and drinks prices very reasonable. Return train ride to Sorrento (5 stations) only cost us 2.2 Euros each. To sum up, of the six hotels we stayed in, four were superior but again, it was just bad luck on our part that we ended up in what was clearly only ever intended to be a single room. Hope you have better luck if you stay there.
