I am having a very difficult time trying to get as much of beautiful Italy as possible in one trip ! We were in rome and Florence for nine days in March and we are returning for two weeks in November. I am trying to set aside two days for another city. I have been told that Parma is a wonderful place to visit ; Ravenna is wonderful ; and of course-Venice is wonderful. I have also been told that I must see Orvieto. We will be starting out in Rome and then taking the ES to Florence and then returning to Rome for the return flight home--BooHoo, I don't even want to think about that ! Anyway, I wonder in November if it would be better to visit Orvieto for just the day or is it really a must to stay overnight(in November!). We will not have a car--my husband says that he will not drive in italy, which is probably a good idea since i know his driving !! LOL It is for the good of Italy that we stick with the trains and busses!! Anyone who can give me any advice or help or past experiences there ??????? Thanks!
