Has anyone else been ripped off by the proprietors of this restaurant? After touring the nearby abbey, we stopped for lunch at this pizzieria/restaurante. We were told there was no menu available so we had to wing it with the server. The owner/signora came to the table and suggested we have soup (we're vegetarians) and a bowl of chopped tomatoes to share. This sounded good so we agreed. While waiting for our food we overheard the owner/signore querying whether the Brits talking at the table behind us were actually Americans which he implied were not his favorite guests. Fast forward to the bill for our lunch which consisted of the aforementioned soup, tomatoes and also water. The signora charged us 30E for the two bowls of soup! When we protested she discounted the bill by 6E but learn from us: ask for the menu, which, by the way, was presented to other diners seated after us.
