We are a late 40s couple and while we enjoy the towns and the walks, we also would like some time on the beach. We will be basing ourselves in lerici for 10 days.Doria Park still appears to be the best so far. Any other recomendations? and thanks for your help so far

I have friends who have stayed in the Hotel Florida which overlooks Venere Azzura beach and they enjoyed thir stay. Easy walk into centre of Lerici or the opposite direction to San Terenzo. From Lerici you can get the ferry to Portovenere and then onwards to the cinque terre. If you want to go shopping the bus stops outside the hotel and goes to La spezia or to Sarzana in the opposite direction.
