Hi guys...my wife and I are going to Italy in September....one of our stops will be in Siena before going to Rome. We want to spend 3 days and use Siena as our base to see some of the beautiful places nearby like San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, Castellina in Chianti, Radda in Chianti, Pienza, Montalcino, San Quirico d' Orcia, Montepulciano and Abbey of Sant' Antimo...Then back to our hotel in Siena after the daytrip. Is it advisable to rent a car and just drive to these places ? I tried to google the directions to these places....I think its doable but Im not sure about the road condition, whether its dangerous and of course hoping we wont get lost and stuck inside the car overnight. Another thought is renting a car and hiring a driver with good knowledge about these places. Any advices ? Thanks a lot.
