Hi, I'm looking forward to exploring trails through the Peak District over a couple of days, while staying at a B&B near the park.
My challenge is footwear and a wish to travel light. I will be carrying a small case - the size of cabin luggage for international flights.
I wear sensible-type (NAOT) leather shoes for most things, but will also carry a pair of not-so-comfy good shoes for an occasion I must attend.
My NAOTs can be stuffed with paper to dry out if wet, and still be fine next day. So am tempted to rely on these for daily wear, including the trail walks.
But just how muddy and rough are Peak District's tracks likely to get in October? Would it be worth packing my walking boots as well as the other shoes? Thanks for any suggestions.
