Devon beachside cottages

We would love & very much appreciate any recommendations on suitable cottages for a 3 night stay in Devon in November 2008. Any beachside locations in Devon.(no specific area) Location (beach / river / near restaurants/ pubs) is very important but more so the furnishings and cleanliness. No 70'S style decor or florals. Modern / contemporary preferred with new fittings and modern bathrooms. A tall order but we're rather spoiled having traveled the globe and staying in some really nice spots. We enjoy the privacy of cottages although as we enjoy great food and drink, restaurants of good standard in the vicinity would be fabulous. I spent hours researching but could only find properties with a minimum stay of 7 days.

Hello! We stayed in a wonderful cottage in Devon for 3 nights a couple of weeks ago. We highly recommend it, www.culverhayes.co.uk .It is not by the seaside and perhaps to 'rural' for you, but have a look at the website. I am sure you will love it!

We just got back from a trip to Devon and had a great 3 night stay at Pebble cottage in Budleigh Salterton. It was near the beach and has been completely refurbished inside to a beautiful modern standard with a really nice cozy feel. It was a short walk, maybe two minutes too the beach and the village high street. The village was nice with old antique shops, cafe's, restaurants and a few good pubs. We had a great stay and would like to come back again.
