For a family of four, what's the cheapest way to travel from airport to Grunerlokka ?
Taxi is usually too expensive, but may be an option for a group of four with luggage. Consider the airport train (about 170 NOK for adults) or local train (about 100 NOK) to Oslo central station, then taxi or 5 min by tram to Grünerløkka.
Flybussekspressen route F1 to Københavnergata is another option
Københavnergata is just outside Grünerløkka area, but it may depend on where exactly you want to go
Which airport? There are 3 - see tripadvisor.co.uk/Travel-g190479-s301/Oslo:N…
These replies assume Gardermoen - code OSL:
Note that children under 16 travel free, youths under 21 and students under 32 half price on flytoget - airport express train - but you need documentation of age and student status.
Children also travel free on express buses - check the link.
Tickets for the local train cost NOK 90, children NOK 45, buy at Narvesen kiosk, just after customs at Gardermoen. Tickets last 2 1/2 hours after validating on machines before platform and cover further transport by bus or tram in Oslo within that time. Other possibilities are to consider Oslo Pass and 24hr travel ticket.
A taxi from Oslo central station to Grunerløkka will cost minimum ca. NOK 100, more in evenings and weekends.Edited: 9:36 am, May 25, 2013
