traveling to Lofoten |
|
Hi, I am planning a to Svolvaer in Lofoten in early autumn as part of a tour around Scandinavia. I am hoping to keep my travel expenses to a minimu so I intend on purchasing a ScanRail pass. I would like to go from Narvik to Svolvaer, spend two nights there and continue on to Bodo. From what I can tell from websites I can take a ferry/bus for this at a discount. What I cannot figure out is how much is the discount. To make things a little more interesting, I am actually planning on taking the overnight train from Stockholm to Narvik and then (hopefully) travel directly to Lofoten without spending a night in Narvik. (the earliest I can arrive in Narvik is about 13:30) Is this possible? Would I be better off just flying? Thanks. Jim Report as inappropriate |

I can't tell you about the discount, but here you find the bus schedules from Narvik: reiseinfo.no/nordtrafikk/ruter/r/22-760.htm Further information about travel to and from Svolvaer can be found on this site: Report as inappropriate | ||||||
