Your hotel is in a great location in the old city. It sits on Getreidegasse (where Mozart was born) close to Karajan Platz with it's famous, decorated horse pond. You are right in the heart of everything there and it will be a short walk to the two main markets in Domplatz and Residenzplatz. You will find delightful little markets in the alleys and courtyards close to your hotel, the shops all around will be decorated with tastesful displays (rather than the garish designs we have in other parts of the world). The whole area around your hotel has masses of cafes and restaurants which are particularly welcoming at that time of year.
