What is the easiest way to get to the palace

We will be getting the bus into Monte Carlo (I think), unless anyone has any info regarding parking there.

We want to take the children to the palace, is it worth it? Are there resturants near by? How do we get there?

I would be very grateful for any advise.

Many thanks

Monaco/Monte-Carlo is a very small country/Principality

in 20 min by walk your cross the area ::))

you can take the bus if you do not wish to walk 15/20 min

Yes the Palace worth the view, you have also a Cathedrale on the Rock and Oceanographic museum, many restaurants....

it's the more intersting area

it's easy to find as it's very small Monaco, you will find

You don't say where you're getting the bus from?

If you're taking the number 100 bus from Nice, you can see the route in green on the following Google map:

There are lots of restaurants in the old town where the Palace is based.

If you decide to drive, look out for the car park called Parking des Pecheurs, which is underneath the old town. From the car park, you can use escalators and lifts to get up to the top.

How old are your children?

The Palace is up in Monaco Vil. There are many restaurants and gift shops

The Cathedral and the Oceanographic Institute are there. In front of the Oceanographic Institue you can catch the little white tourist train that goes all over.

With your back to the Palace, look to the far left and there is a cafe that serves ice cream and ice cream sundaes. Also with your back to the Palace, walk to your right and look down the hillside. Somewhere along there is a playground suitable for small children.

Perhaps another poster can verify this but if you take the regional #100 bus, you get off at Place d'Armes. Several local bussesw stop across the street. There is a good size gift kiosk there. A bus will take you up the Rock and deposit you near the Oceanographic Institute.

Alternately, when you get off there, you'll see a ramp going up the hillside. This will take you to the plaza in front of the Palace.

Personally, I would ride the bus up and walk down.
