Due to pay my holiday this weekend for the Athena Royal beach at the end of June and decided to enquire of Thomson what is their position on the water shortages and what they are willing to do if it means that hotels cannot provide the facilities that you have paid for. Please note I fully sympathise with the people who live there who are having their water cut off and in no way wish to imply that they should go without water supply to fill the hotel pools but I would rather not spend my holiday with water shortages/no pool (especially with the lack of beach at the hotel) - Thomson response was what water shortages? - we havent heard of anything. I did suggest they might want to find out. Anyway they would not consider changing the holiday (although this was not my intention at this stage)but would be interested to know if anyone else has contacted their Travel agents regaring this and their response.
