Luxembourg to Werl (Germany) - train?!

I am trying to use www.cfl.lu, and I have no knowledge of the language it is in, but I seem to be getting by.

I don't know how to order tickets though or how much they are, and I need additional help with a few things.

Werl is right near Dortmund. Can anyone help me, I am travelling in December of this year. Is it easier to rent a car, I just need to go for one day. Thank you.

Hi,

I stumbled across your question, so hopefully I can give you some help. According to Mapquest Luxembourg to Werl Westfalen is 197 miles, you can drive that in about 3 hours. The train takes about five and a half hours with three changes, no contest really!!!

You can hire a compact car from Luxembourg airport for one day from $97 upwards, we have used argus rentals www.argusrentals.com before who are good.

If you want to go by train go to www.seat61.com click on Germany, then click on bahn.hafas this will take you to German Rail's English language site, then enter your travel information. Bear in mind the timetables change about October time.

I was stationed in Werl with the British Army for 5 years, and we throughly enjoyed our time there, in fact our youngest son was born in the local Krankenhaus.

If you need any more information drop me an e-mail
