But yes you're right, that little girl selling home made lemonade in the HSBC ad could make a fortune running this bar.
I've sat in there many times watching as hoards of rich tourists walk past, some peer in, but very few enter, that pub should be on every tourist party's itinery. That room upstairs has so much potential too. There are so few places to have a beer in Valletta, other than kiosks, cafes or the bocci or band club.
I think (but could be wrong) that they paid well over the odds for the business, because of the Ollie Reed connection, and are now lumbered with it with no ambition. Very sad.
