Question from Hubby

Hi All,

me again but with a question on behalf Hubby.

Does anyone know if you can fish (rod and line) from the rocky shoreline anywhere around Sliema.

Failing that, are there any cheap options for fishing from boats?

I would be grateful for any info on this coz I don't have a clue, and he wants to know.

Thanks all,

Jaycine

Plenty of places to go fishing and I've not come across any restrictions.

If you do decide you want to go boat fishing try Aquatica (they have a web site) although the shop is in St Pauls he has a RIB and a Luzzu he's also a champion angler to boot. Speak to Daryl or Chris. Make sure you barter and don't fall for "optionals".

Thanks Scubapro,

By the way, are you a 'closet' Malta specialist! You certainly have lots of good info and insight.

Near the bridge of Manoel island, you can find Aquamarina and Pirotta for all your tackle needs .. so don't worry about forgetting something at home

Closet? Now that's not been said before!

I suppose you just get a bit of a heads up after 34 years. Maybe I'm not Maltese but suppose I've been going enough to earn my stripes allowing me to (hopefully) give advice without the need to feel patriotic.

Strangely enough though since Malta joined the EU I no longer have that urge to go retire there. Anyone got any other "special" islands not afflicted by Brussels?

5. Re: Question from Hubby

Many wise words have been issued from an obviously very wise head.

I can't offer you a special island myself, but whole heartedly agree with your sentiments.

I'm spending more and more time on the African continent. They tend not to spend so much time telling me what I can and can't do.

The more I go there, the more adventurous I get with the holiday brochures.

The Maltese have held out against 2 invasions, maybe they have the ability to hold off the brussles bruisers!

Jaycine
