Iceland, log cabins or resorts?

Hello experts!

I'm hoping to find a nice log cabin/resort with log cabins in Iceland, not really near cities but relatively easy to get to. Has anybody got any recommendations by any chance? Hoping for a relaxing 3 days but also to see the northern lights and walking in the snow. Many many Thanks!

You may also want to check out these sites:

Farm Holidays deals with cottage rentals throughout Iceland.

We stayed here several years ago, before they built the hotel. The cabins are quite nice. It is located about 5km up a valley from the village of Arnes....really all by itself, and it would be a difficult drive from Arnes to the cabins this time of year (if it snows)...but it is really beautiful.
