Had a fantastic four days in Reykjavik, and wanted to share with you our favourite things in case it helps any of you out with your plans....
Room with a View apartments are fantastic - central location, good value and gorgeous - much nicer than my house in England!!! We were upgraded to a bigger, more expenisive room.
Go to the Blue Laggon in the evening - its beautiful and a wonderful way to unwind after a busy day.
I would recommend Mountain Taxi for their super jeep tours. We used them for the golden circle, and it was totally worth the extortionate price! Our guide was laid back, and the trip relaxing and personal rather than regimented. The off-roading was fantastic, and the scenery breath-taking.
If you love music , head to 12 Tonar - they give you a coffee while you browse through the CD's and listen to what you like before buying. Don't be shy - they make great recommendations.
Reykjavik is great - don't neglect the city, its worth a day of your time at least, for the lovely food, quirky shops and fab museums and galleries. The Settlement exhibition at Hotel Reykjavik is good of you're into history and archaeology.
