Where to start for one night

Will be flying to Milan with a stop in Helsinki. The arrival at 8 am and departure next day at 8 am. I get a full day to enjoy the city. Looking for a reasonable 1 night hotel convenient to the Airport and close to the center where we can take advantage of Airport Bus shuttle. Looking for advise.

Anything central is fine. The bus from the airport comes to the railway station.

If the hotel is somewhere on the map, it's central: http://maps.google.fi/maps?q=helsinki&hl=fi&ll=60.169237,24.938385&spn=0.006863,0.026157&geocode=+&hnear=Helsinki&t=m&z=16

Closest hotels within a 5 min walk to the Rway station where the buses to the airport leave are Seurahuone, Holiday inn City centre, Vaakuna, Cumulus Kaisaniemi and Plaza. But any hotel on the map is not more than a 20 min walk with a suitcase.

Thank you for a prompt reply. How far Holiday Inn City center hotel from the airport by bus shuttle ? If our flight at 8 on Saturday, what time do we need to leave ?

Holiday Inn Helsinki City Centre is practically next door to the Finnair City Bus terminus on Eliel Square. Eliel Square bus platforms are right in front of the hotel entrance, however, the Finnair City Bus is the furthest one from the hotel door, about 50 m walk. Around 200 m walk to the Railway Square (on the other side of the railway station) where the platforms of the regional buses 615 and 620 are.
