Helsinki stopover in winter

we are travelling through Helsinki on our way home and are deciding whether or not to spend a day there. It will be in February and we will be travelling with our 18 month old daughter. Will it be too cold/dark to sightsee. What do you suggest we do for a day in winter in Helsinki??

Thanks in advance.

We spent a weekend in Helsinki in February. It was very cold, but there is a lot to see and do. It didn't get dark that early - about 4.30ish. Same as the UK.

There is a city tour which lasts about 1.5 hours. Plenty of museums. Some nice walks.
