Popped into TK Max yesterday and was impressed by the amount of ski clothing they stock.

They did have a few clearance items but the vast majority of stuff was full price. I was wondering whether I should pick up a jacket now or wait for some further reductions.

Does anyone know whether they have a end of ski season clearance sale and if so when it usually takes place?

Thanks

Simon

You can get loads of gear from the states, I brought my snowboard from a shop called the house.com

I also have purchased from moosejaw.com but you have to do an international authorisation form for credit cards - but once this is done you dont have to do it for future purchases. I brought a Bonfire Snowboard jacket from them for 1/3 of what it costs here!!

BUT be aware, you may get hit with a customs fee, which I got away with for my coat, but the board I had to pay summat like £20 plus £17.50 for the post office to 'process' it for me.... Wasn't best pleased but I did save a bundle on my board so it made up for it.

Not sure if the Tk max in your area will be the same as ours but most of there ski wear is now down in the sales and not alot left.

It seems that they have started there clearance sales early.

Also if you have a sports world near where you are, there Campri base layers are down from 19.99-5.99 thats for a top and trousers are the same price.

Yes it was the same in our store a few weeks back but today there was hardly anything left.

Your store may be better than ours but worth a visit to see whats left and whats reduced.

We are not far from Street where there is Clarks Village - all bargain stuff and last week all the ski/sports/outdoor shops were selling fab stuff for peanuts, sale prices and buy one get one frees. Hubby and I bought fab micro fleece mittens and when you put your hands inside them they are micro fleece gloves. Soooo warm and cost. They were buy a pair get a pair free so something crazy like £5 a pair. Also all the jackets, snow/termal boots were peanuts. Perhaps other retail parks like Bicester in oxfordshire or great western at swindon have similar outlets?

Went to Tk max today to check out their current range. There is much less stock their currently than last winter. I am assuming that this will expand during the next few weeks? Anyone else had a similar experience? I was hoping to get most of my missing items from there.

Hi simon

We visited our tk max today and they had just brought out all there thermals, ski goggles, mittens and gloves. Also had goggles and snow boots etc.

I think they seem to be bringing more things out now as they didnt have anything like that in store last week.
