Hi,
Inlagd sill is pickeld herring it means you put raw herring in a sweet and salty winegar-mix. We eat it the year around but especily at christmas, easter and midsummer.
Sill is also found at "smrgsbord".
Sill looks like raw fish and should been served with boiled potatoes and sourcream.
Most people buy sill ready from the store, there is many variations for ex. onion, curry or mustard. It use to be poor peoples food, it made them stay alive.
I dont like it but I hope you will. Good luck!!!! Pia
