I am hoping that fellow TA travellers can give me some advise about a trip in Denmark in Early September 2014. My 18 year old son and I will be travelling from Norway, arriving in Denmark via the ferry at Hirtshals. We are interested in all things viking, castles and history, My son also like metal music. We are hoping to be able to travel by public transport and will leave Denmark via Copenhagen to go to Sweden.
We have about a week to spend in Denmark.
We are looking at visiting Ribe and Aalborg.
The questions I ask are-
1. Is it possible to travel around Denmark using public transport or should we hire a car? I am worried the cost of a car would be high as we would be picking it up and dropping it of at different places. I believe this is costly.
2. Can you please suggest some other places we could visit?
3. Is 2 days enough for Copenhagen?
Thank you for any replies you an give.
