Attractions closed?

We are in Thessaloniki at the moment.

We hoped to see Insectopia, and went during scheduled hours,( it is difficult to find) and it was closed. Has anyone been in the last few day?

The other Museum on the list is the Folk Musical Instrument Museum and that seems to be a more permanent closure.

We also found the Tourist Info office closed on September 5 th, that seems permanent. All a sign of the times sadly. Thessaloniki is a beautiful and interesting city.

Hi kiwi47,

If you went today then most museums are closed on Mondays.

However I sympathise with you. On Kefalonia, the tourist office in Argostoli is also closed Saturdays, St Georges Castle was (September) closed except when a volunteer from the Red Cross was prepared to open it, A museum at a village (Davgata) just outside Argostoli is also closed permanently,

A sign of the times? I think so :-(

The Insectopia exhibition website says Monday 11.30- 1.30, which is when we went but we will try again, if we get a chance.

Thanks.
