Generally Greeks are a hospitable people. Including Thessalonians and the rest of surrounding Macedonia, of course. However, I have the feeling that this more so, lately. I tried to justify it as an attitude of "need more clients". I did some questions to relatives and to strangers. And the conclusion was that there is no connection between a direct interest of locals to foreigners.

I slowly come to the conclusion that there is more of an attitude of just helping people. Be it locals or foreginers. Possibly this trend will persit more and more. It would be interesting to have the opinion of locals and foregners on this subject.
