Good news indeed. Before this the only way to get to Corfu (or anywhere else) independently was via a charter flight which are usually well over 300e!

They do have added extras like paying for baggage and seating etc and are prone to (threaten) going on strike every now and then but all in all are a good airline.

Excellent news for Corfu as we would love to try this island. How long are the flights and what would temperatures be like in May?

Sissy - flight time from Ireland is about 3hours15mins - 3.5 hours. We've gone a couple of times the last weekend in May and temps have been about 27 Degrees.

We dont travel with teenagers and prefer somewhere quieter so im not sure I could recommend where to go. We've been to Dassia and Messonghi (spelling!) a couple of times and liked them, but they might be a bit quiet for teenagers.

Im sure other Corfu regulars would be able to recommend where to go with teenages - Sidari might be an option?

If I had teens I wouls go for Kassiopi, water sports, good diving, plenty of bars without going over the top and boat trips from the harbour.

Great news on the flights to Corfu never been my self love to go first week in June must have a look on where to stay and the flights too that's great news!!!

Living on Corfu for many years, i have befriended many a visitor from the Emerald Isle, their biggest problem was getting here direct (independantly) Such welcome news that Air Lingus have taken the plunge, WELL DONE.

Come visit Messonghi a lovely little place for young and old alike!!
