Athens to Hydra and Aegina in September

We are hoping to travel to Athens in mid September and would like to get a taste of the Islands. We are thinking about going from Athens to Aegina and from Aegina to Hydra and staying a night or two at each, hoping to travel by ferry or hydrofoil. Would this be a good plan at that time of year or would our transportation and hotel options be limited? Any advice would be appreciated.

Hello Lulutoo... you should not have any problem in terms of weather....September is still summer in Greece and the tourist season in the Athens seaside and the islands do not not finish until early November... In fact some seaside hotels in Athens stay open all year around.

There should be hydrofoil connections between hydra and aegina if you search on Google you will find some.

Please remember that you will need a very minimum of three days in Athens....

September will be still very warm...so staying somewhere seaside will be much more enjoyable....

If you need more info please ask :)
