Greek Isles Cruise lines? |
|
I'm thinking about doing a cruise from Italy to the Greek Isles. Does anyone recommend a particular line? I'm currently looking at Costas Cruises and MSC Cruises and would love some feedback. Report as inappropriate |

We are ding the Greek Islands with Celebrity...Galaxy on July 25th. It leaves from Rome and visitsMykonos, Rhodes, Santorini then Istanvul,Kusadasi Athens and Naples. It then returns to Rome. It is 11 days. We have traveled with Celebrity before and had a wonderful time! Report as inappropriate

Unless you love children - lots and lots of them - do not even consider MSC cruises. Becuase they do not have their own facilities such as pool and playrooms they literally take over the upper deck accompanied by the noise a hundred plus italian children can make. Just returned from a cruise on MSC Opera - Venice to Istanbul and return - which is a lovely ship with a super crew but if you want some peace and quiet don't even consider it. Also the so called dress codes are non existent. If you like dressing up on Gala nights you are likely to be sitting next to passengers in T shirts and jeans and nothing is done about it. Dress codes in the day time restaurants are also ignored making it very offensive to be sitting next to a sweaty bare chested man in his his badly fitting 'speedos'. Food also very average. Try Costa which I hear are much better organised. Have a super trip - Regards George Report as inappropriate

We have just returned from MSC Opera cruise and had an amazing time. My friend and i are 2 25 y/o girls and unfortunately alot of the passengers are middle aged, leaving us to mingle with the staff as they were young and could mostly speak english. We thought that the kids had loads of activities on - brilliant for the parents. So much food - not top quality but still very nice. Lots of entertainment. Something for everyone, however this cruise is finishing up soon and most of the staff and soon to be passengers are off to the Carribean. Would certainly be up for it if i could.
