We are thinking of going to Mijas costa normally we go to Fuengirola but this hotel caught ,my eye only problem we don't know the area and in Jan will we get the sun on the balcony in all the rooms,is there plenty do in the area or do we need to get a bus,taxi to explore.both in our 70.like to walk,looking for advice before we book.
There are east-facing rooms on one side of the Gran and west-facing rooms on the other. In January, when I was last there, you most definitely want to look west from your balcony, so make sure you ask for a room facing the pool, the higher the floor the better.
La Cala is a stunning little resort, but will be at its quietest when you are going. No bother picking up the half-hourly service bus that gives you the choice of Fuengirola or Marbella as final destination. Loved our time at the Gran. Hope you do, too.

Sophie - the OP has asked for information about a specific hotel. He/She does not want Self Catering so your post - including advert - is rather inappropriate.
