Daytime average: 22 degrees C in Funchal, 24 degrees in Calheta, 23.5 degrees in Machicho, 20 degrees in San Vicente, 20.4 degrees in Porto Moniz.

The locals call June “the blanket month” due to the cloud which hovers over the island (mainly mountains). Don’t let this put you off, I visited Madeira during the last week of June several years ago and the weather was generally good. Mixture of sunshine and clouds with the exception of rain on the last day. Enjoy!
