I'm hoping to visit Lisbon with a few friends for a long weekend in June. We are currently looking at flights to arrive on Fri 13th June and fly out on Mon 16th. I just noticed that the 13th June, coincides with the Festival of Santo Antonio. It sounds like this could be a lot of fun, with concerts, street parties etc. running through the night. Does anybody know whether there will be much to see and do on the 13th June itself and throughout the weekend, or do most of the parties and activities happen on the 12th (the eve of Santo Antonio)?
Also, does anybody know whether there will be any areas in Lisbon with outdoor screens showing the world cup football?
Grateful for any advice on either of these questions.
