Airport transfer to Principe Lisboa

We will be staying at the Principe Lisboa hotel on the Avenida Duque de Avila. Is there a bus that would take us there or nearby from the airport?

Thanks

These are the buses at Lisbon airport - cross check against your hotel location map.

The Lisbon metro/underground/subway does not serve the airport. There are various buses to take you into the city centre, which is about 30 minutes journey. Buses also run to the main railway stations for onward connections. The two main bus terminals in Lisbon for suburban and long distance services are at Gare Oriente and Sete Rios. The latter has no direct bus from the airport.

These are brief details of the buses that serve the airport. You can download timetables and maps at the official bus/tram website at www.carris.pt

Connections with main line trains at Entrecampos and Oriente stations; suburban trains at these plus Roma-Areeiro. Metro at various locations including Marques Pombal, Oriente and Entrecampos.

You can get Lisbon metro details at www.metrolisboa.pt/eng and local and intercity train details at www.cp.pt except that the local trains across the bridge to Setubal etc. are operated by a private company (Fertagus) whose website is at www.fertagus.pt

91 Airport Bus runs daily from 0700 to 2330. Destination Cais do Sodre via Entrecampos, Marques Pombal, Av. Liberdade and Praca Comercio. NB a higher fare of €3.50 is payable on this route.

Single journey cash fare on all buses below is €1.35; there are various passes and pre-pay cards available for regular users including a one day pass at €3.50.

44 towards Moscavide serves Gare Oriente bus and train stations weekdays 0620 - 2200 about every 12 - 15 minutes, Saturdays 0630 - 2130 about every 20 minutes, Sundays and Holidays 0720 - 2130 about every 20 minutes. Journey about 10 minutes.

44 towards Entrecampos, Marques Pombal and on weekdays to Av Liberdade, Praca Comercio and Cais do Sodre. Weekdays 0550 - 2055, Saturdays as far as Marques Pombal 0550 - 2055, Sundays and Holidays 0645 - 2055 service intervals as above.

745 towards Santa Apolonia via Entrecampos, Marques Pombal, Av Liberdade runs about every 12 - 20 minutes weekdays and Saturdays from 0520 until 0020. Sundays and Holidays 0600 to 0014.

Bus 5 towards Roma-Areeiro station weekdays only about every 15 - 20 minutes between 0700 and 2030.

2. Re: Airport transfer to Principe Lisboa

Many thanks for all your information. We will probably take the 91 or 44 buses. Can we get the ticket onboard from the driver or do we have to buy it somewhere else prior to getting on the bus?

Thanks
