Lisbon Airport to Cascais

Hi

We arrive at Lisbon airport on Wed 20th July at 4pm and wish to travel to Cascais. Our travel guide (2011) says there is a direct bus service from the Airport via Campo Grande to Cascais (Scotturb). However i've looked on some forums and it seems this service no longer runs. Can anyone help please? We'd rather not get a taxi due to the cost. Thanks v much :)

Take aerobus to Cais do Sodré (3,5€) golisbon.com/transport/airport-shuttle.html, then the train to Cascais (1,8€).

64novpt link above is broken. Just in case you need this, Aerobus number 91 runs every 20 minutes from the stop right outside the arrivals area at the airport and it ends its journey at the Cais do Sodré station.

Trains to Cascais run every 15 minutes at that time of day.

Have a good trip.

Just back from Lisbon and Cascais and chose to use a taxi as we thought the saving for two of us travelling on bus and train and probably still having to use a taxi from Cascais station to our hotel, was negated by the hassle of carting luggage on and off public transport . We were pretty cautious about the taxi and agreed a price first which was 32 euros plus luggage,it worked out a a total of 35 euros which we thought great value. The taxi driver was charming and we took his number and arranged for him to collect us and take us back to Lisbon 5 days later and then from our Lisbon hotel to the airport at the end of our trip (the hotel to airport trip was only 8.70 euros, with luggage)

The bus is very reliable you can get it outside airport 2nd bus stop it goes straight to Station where you can get a train. They run every 10-15 mins cost €1.70 approx Bus is round about €4 euro. Not only is it cheaper than a Taxi you get to see Lisbon and the lovely coastal journey by train. We travelled once by Taxi and it took forever to get there because traffic was chaotic. We always take bus and train now more enjoyable. Hope this helps
