We plan to stay in Vila Bicuda and would rather not have to hire a car. Is it possible to hire bicycles in Cascais and use this form of transport to get around rather than take taxis into town.

It is easy and cheap to rent a bike in Cascais.

But I think you must every day to give the bike back, that is : it is not possible hire for more than one day.
