Shopping Mall in Faro

Can anyone tell me how to get to the shopping mall at Faro. Someone said it was outside Faro and we saw signs for it when we were going back to the airport from Albufeira on our last visit. We have been to Algarve shopping but thought we'd try the one in Faro this time but no idea what it's called or how to get there.

Just go on the EN125 until you get to Faro, (Forum Algarve Shopping) the shopping centre is just before you get into the city on left handside you can't miss it. Pingo Doce supermarket just after it on opposite side of road.

The shopping mall is called Forum Algarve http://www.forumalgarve.net/

Open daily from 10.00 - midnight.

If you go to Google Maps and copy these coordinates: 37.028904,-7.945182

you will see exactly where it is.

It's on your left as you approach it, go around the roundabout almost doubling back, to the entrance for the underground parking areas.

Thank you so much. You guys are fabulous. You know everything!

It this shopping centre the same size as Algarve shopping at Guia or is it bigger? Is Faro worth a visit? Is there much to do or see?

Yes, more or less the same size, some shops are the same, some are different, like C&A. Food court and more shops are upstairs. If you go to the website I gave you, you'll be able to read more about the shops.

Faro itself is worth a visit and very closeby. I'll enclose a link: http://www.farouncovered.com/

If you use google maps and copy these coordinates, you'll see where is a large square for parking. It's right beside the old centre: 37.012491,-7.932111

It's called Largo de S. Francisco.

Enjoy your trip!

I personally find Forum Algarve a far more pleasant place to shop than Algarve Shopping in Guia. It's just more open and spacious.

Take a cab from the Faro airport. It's about 8 euros or so to Forum Mall. Most stores are open till 12am so it's great!

Take a cab from the Faro airport. It's about 8 euros or so to Forum Mall. Most stores are open till 12am so it's great! It has the usual Mango, Zara, Aldo etc and is cheaper than Northern Europe for sure. The min amount for tax free is 60 something so that's good news for all international travellers. At 12 when you're done shopping you will need to call a cab which takes anywhere between 5 and 20 mins to arrive. Get a few cab service nos as soon as you land or from any helpful local person :) Enjoy!
