Hi,

Last minute decision to spend 4 nights (Aug 8th - Aug 12th) in the Albufeira area. Trying to get the most for our £ but having trouble.

Has anyone heard of the Vila Channa? (aka Hotel Channa)

I cannot seem to find any reviews on it at all which kind of worries me but my sister is keen on staying there because of the price.

OR does anyone of any hotel recommendations? Not too fussy really - just would prefer that it have a pool. It could be anywhere in the Algarve region - West of Faro (we are driving in from Lisbon).

Have you tried www.travelrepublic.co.uk ? I'm not sure how many there is of you travelling but try it you may get a bargin.

Hi,

Maybe try Vila Recife. It's in a great location right on the entrance of the old town, only a few minutes to the square or the beach. Basic but very clean and the staff are really pleasant. You will get the most out of your £ !!

Vila Channa is located in Sao Rafael about 5km west of Albufeira and has 18 rooms. I can't tell you what it's like as we only walked past but it does seem popular with the Portuguese.
