new years in rotterdam

I have a rule to never go to the same place twice, especially on new years, I have been to weymouth, blackpool, london, edinburgh. And this year I have randomly chose rotterdam, I am going on 30th december - 2nd january and staying at the savoy. Firstly is this a good hotel and secondly what should I expect on new years and any venues people can suggest?

Hi there,

The fireworks in the old harbour - near the 'Swan' bridge - are always impressive. Best seen from Hotel New York / cruise pier. Savoy scores as value for money in the TA reviews, nothing wrong for the price...

All the best,

I always find it funny when people book a hotel first and THEN ask if it's good. :-)

What you also can do is buy it your self and light them.

I think The Netherlands is the only place you can fire it by you one.

It isn't cheap to do, but fun to do!

My tip is just walk around, every where in the city is someone using firework
