Hi all,
If you could only visit one of either SkyLounge or the Nemo roof, which would you recommend has the better view?
Thanks,
Emma
Sky lounge. More than twice as high, and except on very hot days a much nicer place to be than the open air roof...
All the best,

Thankyou for that. Easy decision then!
Nemo has nice views but not spectacular ones. Beside this, when I have been sitting there I was surrounded by kids and youngsters who played loud music and tag:-))
Edited: 8 years agoFrom the SkyLounge bar you see the oldest parts of the city and you can look almost 360 degrees.
From NEMO you look onto a slightly newer part and much less than 360 degrees. Plus you're lower. And yes, running and screaming kids. ;-)
SkyLounge hands down.
I would also consider Cafe Blue which I think has great views over the city's rooftops and is more central and is MUCH cheaper than the Sky Lounge. http://www.blue-amsterdam.nl/en/
Cafe Blue is nice but does it offer views without glass inbetween, and unblocked views? From what I remember there are always parts of neighboring buildings blocking parts of the view.
That is what I like about SkyLounge, better photo ops because you can go outside, and wider unhindered views. And yes the drinks are crazy expensive. But coffee (cappuccino too) gets a free refill.
Edited: 8 years agoNo you are correct it does not have outside space. Cappucino is €3 so less than half the price at the Skylounge so I suppose your free refill is not that free.
Anyway it was just an alternative to what was suggested. Lunch in there is pretty good too.
Totally different area, more expensive and no outside, but great views over part of the city can also be found at twenty third bar at the Okura hotel. https://www.okura.nl/nl/culinair/twenty-third-bar/
