Hotel question?

We will be staying one night in Amsterdam in April before our river cruise. The Movenpick has been recommended.

I'm seeing a wide range of prices for this hotel.

Also, we like to get a buffet breakfast at our hotel. Anyone stay at this hotel? Can you recommend the best way to book and get a better price, and especially one that includes breakfast?

1. Re: Hotel question?

You are seeing a wide range of prices for your date already?

There are a number of ways to get a lower price for a hotel like this that we often suggest.

But I am not aware of any such way that will allow you to get a specific hotel at a significantly lower price and include a very expensive breakfast as well.

If you do find something like this please let us know.

Secret hotels, Priceline Express deals, Hotwire, these offer hotels at reduced rates , but not by name.

Priceline nyop bidding is very popular here.

We have seen members get 4 stars for bids of $55 usd, $65, $70--------those type of wins. With this bidding you can, pick a zone and a star level and your bid price only. You do not pick the actual hotel.

I wish we had a way to get specific hotels at reduced prices.

Many four members have stayed there. Many have in fact won it via bidding.

A very nice hotel from reports.

If you don't mind travelling by tram or taxi to the terminal before your cruise, it doesn't matter where you stay. You may prefer to stay in a hotel closer to the museums or Jordaan area. It also depends on how many nights in Amsterdam you have before the cruise.
