Hi there,

You might mix up Anonymous and Disposable? See

tripadvisor.com/Travel-g188590-c119198/Amste…

If you mean Anonymous: NS rail, both the counters and the vending machines.

If you mean disposable, most likely the GVB ones: Tourist Info counter at Arrivals2 sells the 24h card. AKO kiosk behind it at least the 24h card, sometimes also the 48/72 etc. hour cards.

All the best,

Be aware that the disposable GVB cards are not valid for transit into the city from the airport. You'll have to buy a single ride ticket for the train or bus.

We were in Amsterdam last week and purchased a 2 day card. Look for the yellow auto machines on the platforms. You can switch the language to English with a button bottom left of the screen. You can then purchase a single ride ticket (2.60 Euros I think it was) to get into Amsterdam and also select whether you want a 24, 48, 72 hour OV pass for all trams and buses. The 72 hour is 16.50 Euros, the 48 hour is 12 Euros (maybe 12.50 can't remember. Hope this helps. PS. If all else fails you can buy one hour passes on the trams and buses for 2.60 Euros.

Can you load longer than 72 hour passes on the anonymous cards?

Basically all GVB products for sale as disposable tickets, except the 1-hour journey but then it would be quite useless for that, can also be put on an Anonymous card yes. Still fail to see the need in all but a few remote situations, though ;-)

All the best,
