Coffee Company and Bagels & Beans open earlier I think, but I doubt they have beer.

Maybe this helps: iamsterdam.com/en-GB/…breakfast-in-amsterdam

Coffee Connection opens at 8am. Don't know if it does beer but it dies arguably the best coffee in Amsterdam. Their bacon and brie ciabatta is delicious.

If you're arriving by plane, by the time you're in the city it'll be 10 or 10.30. So most cafes will be open. No need to go looking for any one in particular. Just avoid the ones *on* Dam Square and Damrak: overpriced tourist traps.

Close to Dam square is department store HEMA at Nieuwendijk 174-176, opens at 9. Has cheap breakfast and beer I think. Otherwise have a look around. There's something else near Dam square (same street), but forgot name.

We enjoy an English breakfast at Teddys Corner on Warmeostraat, on the edge of the red light district, and a street quite full of coffeeshops (although not as full as it used to be as several have closed/changed during this year). A stones through from Dam Square and the Station too.

Food at Teddys is consistently good and even presented in exactly the same way each time, Josie and Korina (waitresses) are very friendly.

Beer served too.

Have a good trip
