Where to stay in March?

There will be four of us, and we're hoping to stay in a quad room. Relatively inexpensive, but with en suite facilities, somewhere in the North museum section or close to the major tourist destinations. Any ideas? What about the City Hotel Amsterdam (has availability)? Thanks!

I don't know about the City but it's near Centraal Station maybe a 35 minute walk to the Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum.

For a much quieter and closer to the Museums and Leidseplein (5 to 10 minute walk) hotel try the Hotel Kap. A quad en suite room is EUR 115 before Easter weekend and EUR 140 during and after including taxes and a great breakfast.

There's bunches of reviews here and at channels.nl

Unless you'll be there Easter weekend you should still be able to get a reservation but don't dawdle- it's small, 13 rooms and like all good value budget Amsterdam hotels they fill up weeks even months in advance.

You're gonna have a great time

The Kap is a decent choice...Other possibilities include the Bellington, the Hotel de Paris, the D'Amsterdam and the Crystal. These are all closer to Leidseplein/Museumplein. Check out Venere.com. They have a great search engine. You can check by any parameter. Date, location, quad availability.
