The coffee shop you go in may expect you to buy something there. But none will care what you do with the stuff after you buy it.

And as stated you can walk around with up to 5 grams on you.

Most hotels I have stayed in have been cool with smoking. Some will ask you to crack the window. Some will say no smoking at all.

If its a total ban on any smoking I am sure to respect their wishes. If they allow cigs but not grass? I crack the window.

Never once had an issue one way or another.

while you walk around with a tasty buzz enjoying the lovely city you will at times smell pot smoke wafting over you..and you may wonder if its legal to smoke outside the coffee shops..no, it isnt legal but people do it..as long as you dont fire up a doobie in front of a cop you should be ok..if you find a secluded bench out of the way and take a couple tokes to maintain the buzz..you should be ok..not that i condone breaking the law of course...just reporting what ive observed over the years.
