zurich to basel

We will be traveling from Zurich to Basel to connect with a river cruise.Should we take a taxi? We will have two large pieces of luggage and two carry-ons. Thanks.

I wouldn't; ways too expensive. Zurich Flughafen railway station is just underneath the airport.

Furthermore there are direct trains from Zurich airport to Basel SBB, and trolleys available at both railway stations. In Basel you'll find rolling stairs and elevators for heavy luggage.

In Basel there are always dozens of Taxis at the exit.

Yes, if you are already in Zurich city centre, just go to the main station and get the train to Basel from there - no need to go back to the airport.

www.sbb.ch/en for train times. There are three or four trains every hour between the two towns.

Yes you can take the luggage with you. There is normally a luggage storage section in the passenger cars.

Sure - thousands of travellers do it every day! There is space for your luggage either in the entrance area of each waggon, between the seats or overhead. There are no extra costs for the luggage.
