Lucerne early April

I'm going to Lucerne at the end of March/beginning of April and am just wondering what the weather is usually like at that time of the year.

Also do many of the attractions/shops etc close on Good Friday?

Thanks.

It's end of winter, temperatures can be between 0 and 20 Celsius in lower areas. Weather is unpredictable: sun, fog, rain and even snow are possible. In lower parts you can see the first flowers, on the mountains some people are still skiing. Smaller ski areas might already be closed and so their cable cars.

Good Friday is a public holiday and so similar to a sunday, this means: most shops are closed (exception those in train station and maybe some shops for tourists), some smaller museums might be closed, everything else is open.

The Natur-Museum, Historisches Museum and the Richard-Wagner-Museum are closed on Mondays, the Bourbaki-Panorama opens at 1 p.m. on Mondays. But they are open on Good Friday. If you wanna go the Swiss Transport Museum (Verkehrshaus), you should plan a whole day for it.
