Train from Colmar to Lucerne via Basel

We will be taking the train from Colmar to Lucerne with a connection in Basel. If we understand the schedule correctly, it said there is a 10 minute walk between trains. We will have luggage with us...is this a difficult connection to make. Our trip is in March.

Thanks for your help!

It's a bit of a walk, yes, as the local trains from Colmar come into a different area of the station from the Swiss trains. Ten minutes with luggage sounds like a realistic estimate.

But there are trains from Basel to Lucerne every 30 minutes, so you don't need to worry about connections at all - just get the next one if you miss the first one.

Thanks! What signs should we be looking for?

Just proceed to the main hall. There is a big blue electronic timetable. It will indicate, which platform you take.

Up the rolling stairs on the passarelle, down to the platform, countercheck what is written on the waggon and jump in .

A piece of cake.

Sounds easy...thanks a bunch! Is everything inside the station? Should weather be an issue with luggage, etc?

Everything inside. No coat used. Also shops and cafes on your way to the main hall and on the passarelle.
