Is the Bargello across from the Duomo?

Hi,

I'm finding two locations for the Bargello Museum. One is across the street from the Duomo, the other location is on a map that shows it about three or four blocks south of the Duomo. Where is it?

Thanks so much!

The Palazzo del Bargello, which is what you will be wanting to visit, is in Piazza San Firenze along Via del Proconsolo, see map on here: firenze-online.com/visitare/…

The second one. If you go past Palazzo Vecchio from Piazza della Signoria on the north side (via de' Gondi and then Borgo del Greci, turn left into Piazza S.Firenze and the Bargello is straight ahead.

The Bargello is the green Horseman on this map. The Duomo is the violet donut

The initial reason for the confusion might be that just across the piazza from the Duomo is a little oratory called the Bigallo. This was the home of one of the Florentine charitable institutions and has a lovely loggia and a few interesting artworks inside. It currently houses a tourist information centre. But it isn't the Bargello, which is where the earlier posters have said.
