Hi

May I kindly ask if there are any big events or important public holidays throughout March/early April? Besides Easter. Will Easter be a busier period than normal?

The period around Easter is always busy in Florence. There are quite a few Italian tourists visiting then, as well as people from elsewhere.

March 25 is New Years Day in Florence, at least it was up until 1750! The celebration is marked with a colorful procession through the streets of the centro storico, starting from the Palazzo della Parte Guelfa and ending at Santissima Annunziata.
